Description

This book was written in 1643 by the samurai warrior, Miyamoto Musashi, who was considered to be the best swordsman in Japan. It is divided into five chapters reflecting the elements of the world: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind and the Void. Together, these chapters present the bushido spirit - the world-view of the wise samurai. The BOOK OF FIVE RINGS was popular in the West because it described the Japanese spirit, which was a mystery at the time. This book presents the full version of it in a new and contemporary translation.
