Prince Caspian has always been my favourite Narnia novel, and no film can ever live up to it. This attempt does come close, however, despite the different approach taken by Adamson in bringing it to life. The raid on Miraz's castle, which does not appear in the novel, and the tension between Peter and Caspian, and Caspian and Susan, actually help add to the story rather than diminish it. The portrayal of the Telmarines is an interesting one but again it is a successful ploy. I'm still not too sure about Reepicheep and I guess we'll have to wait for Dawntreader before I really make up my mind on him, but otherwise I was heartily impressed by this rendition of the book and can't wait for the next installment.
