The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition reviews

I'm a huge Skyrim fan. This edition is best played if you missed out or if you need a nostalgia hit. If you casually played it when on PS3 or 360 maybe wait for a price drop since it's not a huge jump graphically. Mods well they're are mods but since Sonys got a bunch of rules with them there is not many compared to the other platforms. Only in game elements can be used to create mods so that means a lot of existing mods do not work. Sad and a let down but the mods that are there work perfectly and add to the experience. So 4/5 stars for nostalgia and newcomers and mods existing but being played down compared to xbox one and pc.

The graphics look nice on ps4 and the game is worth getting again for the reduced load times alone, which are much less than before. However there is a problem with the mod menu. When you get in, only the first few rows load up, making a huge amount of them unavailable. If you try and scroll down to make the rows individually load, it kicks you out to the log in menu. The only way to look at the mods on the lower levels is to scroll down, click on the mod, memorize the name, quit the game, reload it and then type the name of the mod in the search menu. If it turns out you don't like the sound of it, you have to repeat the entire process for a new one. I have top speed internet as well so it doesn't help. Its a terribly bad system, but at least you can still look at the ones on the top rows without any trouble.

Game was great but end of day just to old school so much more should have been done for this remastered special edition but saying that omg it was so good loved it No2 all time fav

This game is amazing, I owned it on the Xbox 360 and I loved it to bits, now this was pretty much a blessing for me, loved getting back in and can't wait to finish the game, again.

The support of mods for this game makes it well worth revisiting! I've sunk countless hours into this on PS3, and will no doubt do the same with this version.

Great game, great adventure

When you need to escape to another world, Skyrims one of the best.

Heaps of missions and upgradeable items,so many different ways to play this game you can play for months.

It came the next morning that I had ordered it. Other sites can take months. Incredible 10/10

The Remastered version just makes this game even better! While there are newer games out there, this is still such a favourite. I was comparing this vs Horizon Zero Dawn, and man am I happy I got this. Great game, awesome graphics and a ton of fun!

A definite revisit to one of my favourite games of all time, mods are restrictive and are little in number. But there are ones that alter the environment, gameplay, add extra quests and new spells and shouts. I didnt have enough money back on 11/11/11+ to get the DLCs but now it comes for the price of the core game- Hell yeah! I Highly reccomend this to everyone who truly loved skyrim, to buy this again.

Even better than the original

Although our mods for PS4 are limited due to Sony and their laws, this game is still a breakthrough for allowing us to finally mod our Skyrim on console. The game looks amazing with its remaster and all the DLC is just a sweet bonus!

I completed the game on 360 years ago! But coming back to it on ps4 just reminded how amazing this game is! I would definitely recommend.

A fantastic RPG, one of the best ever tweaked for the PS4. None of the bugs and glitches from the PS3 version. Amazing graphics and awesome sound. The only game on the market comparable is The Witcher 3
