This does appear to be a pretty true return to the horror survival genre. If you were a fan of Resident Evil and Silent Hill this would make for a rather enjoyable digression. Though, in some instances it falls short for it's predictability and to an extent the rockem sockem nature of combat.

It is a great game that makes you work hard to get through the levels right from the start. You have to think a head and sometimes running away is a better option than fighting it out. Best horror game I've played in a while.

And that's not a compliment
Just finished evil within and it was the best I've played so far. Good story and graphics. I recommend playing it at night. Thanks mightyape.
Recommended to anyone who likes a bit of horror in their lives.
