The Fat Albert Halloween Special
Halloween celebrations begin with an eerie cemetery and the kids getting tricked out of their treats! Fat Albert and the kids meet a lonely, elderly widow who teaches them that it's a fallacy to believe that the elderly are less fun than the young. Fat Albert and his friends learn a valuable lesson – that older people can be great company given a chance and learn that Halloween need not be a night of terror.
Rudy and Devery try to encourage the kids to play trick or treat pranks on some of the elderly people in the neighbourhood (as they consider them an easy target) – although Fat Albert is reluctant to do this. In the end Rudy and Devery only scare Searchlight Johnson and Mudfoot but their plans backfire leaving them without any treats but have bigger plans to target Mrs Bakewell, a widow living alone in a spooky looking old house on a hill. When two of the kids don't return from a dare to go trick or treating at her door, the kids reckon they need to mount a rescue plan. In the end it's really Russell and Devery's little sister who prove to the kids that they have totally the wrong opinion of Mrs Bakewell. The kids learn a valuable lesson not to prejudice people and their situations especially the elderly.
