For most of my adult life I have been writing short stories and poems. I find that poetry is the best vehicle to convey oneas thoughts and feelings. Poetry expresses in a short and concise manner what the writer needs to say. The Fire Within is a collection of poems about life's experiences, many pertaining to 9/11 and after. September 11 opened a whole spectrum of feelings within me that I had to put on paper. The subjects include love, vengeance, nature, politics, and controversial issues. I hope that this book will provoke, move and at least make the reader think.
