Description

THE RETURN OF THE GREY SEAL All of New York City thought that Jimmy the Bat had died in the fire at The Sanctuary -- and his alternate identity, The Grey Seal, with him. Little did New York realize that the infamous Grey Seal, safecracker extraordinaire, was actually a member of the prestigious St. James Club -- wealthy man-about-town Jimmie Dale. And, also, Jimmy the Bat, lowlife crime informer. And, also -- quite alive! Needing a new criminal identity, Jimmie becomes dope-fiend 'Smarlinghue' to gain more underworld contacts. But when he is shaken down by Clancy the crooked cop, Jimmie Dale once more plunges into breathless adventures. Here again is The Tocsin -- Marie LaSalle -- who had Jimmie's secret, and his heart. Here again are colorful criminals like Slimmy Jack and Birdie Lee and Hunchback Joe. Plus: a villainous master of disguise named Wizard Marre.
