Description

Excerpt from The Genealogy of the Prince Family: From 1660 to 1899 In compiling a work of this kind, gathering genealogical data from so many different sources, no one only those who have had some experience in this line of work, has any ad equate idea oi the amount of time, labor, and expense that is consumed in investigation and research, which is requi site for a full and complete record. Many embarrassments are encountered which give the compiler no little anxiety, especially so in some of the correspondence and records that have been received from many friends and interested parties, which were better than the average, yet some have been so illegible that great care and due diligence have been exercised to avoid as many errors as possible in the compilation of this work, but undoubtedly some will be found. It is impossible to get every date correct, there be ing so many discrepancies in records of dates and names.
