Lynn Alleyis a freelance food and wine journalist and the author of The Gourmet Slow Cooker and Lost Arts. She has contributed articles to Fine Cooking, Cook's Illustrated, the San Francisco Chronicle, San Diego Union Tribune, and Wine Spectator. Alley also teaches classes at cooking schools around the western United States. She lives in San Diego, California.
