ABOUT THE BOOK The sparse furnishings and lack of wall decorations made the twelve-by-twelve white room appear curiously sterile. A white table, hosting a small beige computer, stood like an island in a sea of empty space. A smug smile replaced any frustration caused by the verification of the latest move. His mouth widened as he opened the closet door. The long man placed the book on an empty shelf and then studied the squares pasted on the inside of the door. He pinned the victim's name within a square and contemplated his next kill. "Now, let's see how you deal with what comes next." He cupped his chin in his hand and said, "I see you underestimate me. Go ahead, bask in the glory of your small prize. I've had more challenges from a hack." The man took a step forward, released his chin and continued to study the door. Images of domination marched in his head. He knew he was superior. Now, he had to prove it. In this gripping novel of crime and suspense, Scott Connors and his partner, Tara Jordan, must discover who's responsible for New York City's most recent spate of serial murders. As the clock ticks, more bodies are discovered. The answer lies directly within reach of the detectives and the reader. If you think you can break the case before the last page, then The Grid will most definitely challenge you. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Christopher Scott Lommerin lives with his wife and twin daughters in Easton, Pennsylvania. The Grid is his second novel. He has earned a Doctorate and two Masters degrees in education. "Writing is my way of escaping reality by creating my own world," Chris says. "Without writing, I'd never be able to deal with the limitations of life." The Grid investigates gruesome murders through the character of a NYC Detective, Scott Connors who, Lommerin admits, serves as his alter ego. "I never know what I'm going to write until, well . I write. My characters are alive to me. They live through my thoughts and I discover just how the mystery unfolds through their actions. Sometimes this surprises and even alarms me ... Did I really think of that?" Currently, Chris is completing his third novel, Buried, a multiple-murder mystery set in Las Vegas.
