Just as good as theorigonal . I've always liked Jackie Chan and young Jaden Smith is a good little actor and I'm sure he will go far. Thank=you both for an enjoyable movie.

Great to receive this family favourite so quickly.Mighty Ape really goes the distance to please. We'll be back for sure !
Remakes are always interesting, I can see this appealing to a younger audience, however I believe the original movie made in 1984 is timeless and a classic, and has dated well. This version struggled to match the acting and genuineness of the orignial (and why call it the Karate Kid when it's about Kung Fu?), and was also really slow to get going. Jaden is a good actor but not very believable as a 12 year old, and Jackie Chan who I normally love was lack lustre. For a great movie watch the original, even my 13 year old prefers it.
The Karate Kid (2010)
When 12-year-old Dre Parker's mother's latest career move has landed him in China he is left with no friends in a strange land. Dre has nowhere to turn but to maintenance man Mr. Han, who is secretly a master of kung fu. As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life.
