This collection of short stories encompasses the years from 1990 to 2014. Nearly a quarter of a century in the making, these stories show the literary and emotional growth of a man from a teenage boy to a middle-aged father of four. Some of the stories are good for a chuckle, and some are there to give pause. Either way, the author truly hopes that these little stories take the reader out of the hectic river of life and allows them to cool their feet in the much-slower stream of fiction.

Author Biography:

Ryan S. Pack was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky. He lives there still with his wife LuAnn and their four children. He was an Emergency Medical Technician for fifteen years before an injury ended that career. He has since spent his time in and out of college, where he remains one credit shy of a degree, and writing what he refers to as "My Ramblings". The Long Way Around (c) is his fourth book, and his first collection of short stories.
