This volume does not aim to be a complete one by any means, its teach ings being merely in the nature of a guide and experiment for yet greater and better work by the pharmacist himself who reads it. The letters which are found in this book in the chapters on propaganda are those that have been sent out by the National Association of Retail Drug gists in furtherance of the U. S. P. And N. F. Propaganda. It may assist the reader to know that the chapters in the laboratory part of this book were published simultaneously with those in the propaganda part, and hence any reference from one department to the other will be found in the chapter having a similar number, For instance, the letter mentioned on page 38, chap ter XIX, will be found in chapter XIX of the propaganda department, etc. Its aim is better pharmacists, fewer pharmacies and greater financial and professional success for the pharmacist.
