The Name of the Wind reviews

Once you hit 60 pages in this book you'll realise that not only do you have a gem of a book, but that it compares favourably with any other fantasy you've read. The other thing is that from my sources I am certain that the series will be complete, not one that varies widely in quality. Best fantasy I have read in years. Better than Hobb, most Feist, and certainly better than Goodkind.

This is an amazing first novel by Patrick Rothfuss, and should be a must buy for any fantasy fan, no matter their age. It is masterfully written and makes you care for Kvothe, the main character. Overall, an epic tale.

Fantastic debut novel in what has the potential to become one of the very best fantasy series'.

I discovered this novel in our ship's libary when i was cruising around the coast of Australia with work and i tell u what any and all down time i had was dedicated to reading this book. Even while working or on watch i kept thinking about this book.
Kvothe is definitly the luckiest man alive in the book's world, his escapades will show u that. Must read fully reccomended.

Patrick Rothfuss might take a long time to put out a novel, but you can clearly see why. Every chapter is carefully crafted. If you like fantasy with realistic 3 dimensional characters you will most probably enjoy this book.
