In the first part of the book, James Jones (Bishop of Liverpool) introduces the theme of prayer and assesses why it is so important to many people from all walks of life. The background to each prayer is given and the prayer printed out.

Author Biography:

David Winter is well known as a writer and broadcaster. Former Head of Religious Broadcasting at the BBC, he is the Editor of BRF's New Daylight and author of What's in a Word?, Mark for Starters and Message for the Millennium.
