Description

The nation's favourite prayers - as compiled in a national BBC radio campaign - are here presented in a form ideal for personal use. Publication of the book ties in with a national BBC series on prayer based on the book in Lent 2006. In the first part of the book, James Jones (Bishop of Liverpool) introduces the theme of prayer and assesses why it is so important to many people from all walks of life. He also looks at the part it plays in our national life. The second part of the book takes the top 20 prayers plus some extra ones of special interest. The background to each prayer is given and the prayer printed out.
