"This book is life changing for both mum and bubs!"
5 stars"

After some seriously mixed advice from Plunkett and a certain sleep expert who's “Introducing Solids Package” guide did more harm than good, poor master 6 months was bringing up everything which left us wondering if he will ever eat solids. He was unhappy, he had a hard tummy and was not interested in solids at all. My hubby bought this book with a video game of all things :)

This was life changing! Dr Julie Bhosale is an incredibly knowledgeable expert and the book was (surprisingly) an easy read!!! With her step by step guide Master 7 (now) is having steak and pumpkin for breakfast!!! Amazing book, amazing author, just AMAZING!!! Thank you so much, Dr Julie :) I'm actually enjoying feeding him.. YES I actually can't believe I'm writing this.

Highly recommended AAA++++

I enjoyed reading this book and it definitely provided some interesting research based information to consider when starting your baby on solids. I think I would have found it more useful with more practical ideas and recipes for what to feed your baby at this time.

Description

The current global picture of children's health is a frightening one. Across both developed
and underdeveloped countries childhood obesity continues to soar, along with the beginning
signs for type two diabetes and heart disease.

It starts at the beginning.
The first 1000 days of a baby's life, from conception to the age of two are critical. In particular, the importance of establishing healthy habits in first 12 months after they come into this world cannot be stressed enough. How our babies are nourished with food, sleep and movement during this time sets them up for life; it is far easier to create good patterns at the beginning than to try and change these later on.

To me, true nourishment is the interplay of these cornerstones of food, sleep and movements along with a sense of purpose (which tends to come slightly later in life). Like a pendulum swing they all affect one another. While we discuss all of these key foundations of wellbeing, the food we feed our babies in this first year is the primary focus of this book.
