"Almost as good as the stage show."

Purchased on Mighty Ape

We purchased this DVD expecting it to be a version of the stage show.

What a surprise when it turned out to be the story of the Phantom Of The Opera. The story line is good and the music is really great. The actors and singers do a great performance; the music is just as good as the stage show.

"Possibly one of the best films I have ever seen!"

The film follows a disfigured opera ghost who is a genious. The Phantom falls in love with the chorus girl Christine who he then gives music lessons to and tells her he is her angel of music. When she does not return her love he goes mad with his unreturned love. The entire film and its score are geniously put together and the music is incredible and sends a shiver down my spine. In a good way. Emmy Rossum and Gerard Bulter play their roles excellently and fall ingeniuosly into character. This remake of Andrew Lloyd Webbers original play is amazing and has become my all time favourite film. I would definatly reccomed this film to any one who enjoys musicals and the opera. Both of which I personally love.

This was a great movie and I love it. Love the story, the setting, the characters and most of all the music. Still have the songs in my head

Based on the hit musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, the tale tells the story of a disfigured musical genius that haunts the catacombs beneath the Paris Opera, waging a reign of terror over its occupants. When he falls fatally in love with the lovely Christine, the Phantom devotes himself to creating a new star for the Opera - exerting a strange sense of control over the young soprano as he nurtures her extraordinary talents.
