"A classic soul touching film."
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

The Pianist is a film based on the memoir and true story of pianist Szpilman. From the perspective of the soul survivor Szpilman, the film has shown its audience the kind of suffering which Jews were subdued to by their perpretrators-the Nazi. The Pianist is a timeless master piece which truely reflects one of the most horrendous times in our history, the darker side of humanity, one which most would wish to never have the same event repeated again in the future.

Excellent acting, a very true historical picture of a time we should never forget. Also a reminder that these brutalities, deprivations etc., should never be allowed to happen again. Love your neighbour!

I saw this in a film festival years ago and found it just as good second time round. It is a great film well worth having in our collection of classic movies.

"A powerful true story"

Music soothes the savage beast, this story proves it. A passion for the piano helped save the life of a brilliant young musician during WW2. Inspiring.

This has to be the top movie of all time. I have seen it double digit times, and I cry every time. Anyone who has not seen this movie is missing out big time. The story is told in the most movie way without all the Hollywood stereotype. So touching, it will never fail to move its viewers.
