There are two DVDs. Each has an acceptably logic sequence of chapters. The narrator shows us examples of almost unbelievable facts about plants, travelling from Carolina to Japan, Africa, Australia Borneo and more. English common (mis)-pronunciation of Latin names are difficult to grasp, so better activate subtitles-on. The ploys of plants to multiply, grow, survive and being territorial are so ingenious, humans use trial and error. Here it is all planned, super duper!
Fantastic time-lapse footage and David Attenborough as masterly as ever. A whole new world rarely glimpsed!
Sir David Attenborough reveals plants as they have never been seen before – on the move and dangerously devious. Each programme takes one of the major problems of life – growing, finding food, reproduction – and the varied ways plants have evolved to solve it. Filmed from the plant's point of view, using computer animations, fibre-optics and unique time-lapse photography.
Special Features:
Blue Peter interview
