The writing style allows you to really get inside the head of the protagonist and gives the lay person a feel for what it is like doing the gut-wrenching job of a Police detective. Would recommend to any crime-fiction fans out there!

A refreshing spin on crime novels, dark and keeps you on your toes. Well done Nathan, I can't wait for the second.
This book was absolutely awesome and such a great read. The book is set very locally to where I live so I loved knowing the exact road they were driving on, and picturing all the different crimes happening in places around the corner from me. It's very eye opening to what it's really like as a Detective in the NZ Police force and I have a new found respect for the Police and what they do- this book tugged at the heart strings, and it was so interesting I couldn't put it down! I would 100% recommend!!!
The Sound of Her Voice is one of those books that you simply cannot put down and before you know it you've reached the end and want more! Nathan has managed to portray a dark and gritty crime drama, whilst opening you up to the mind of a detective – including all their darkest thoughts and blackest humor! Highly recommend grabbing a copy now.
