And, Sir, had any real difference of opinion existed, I should probably have refrained from the task; but late events have, I fear, proved that the moral condition of our people is unhealthy and even peri lous - all are pretty nearly agreed that something further must be attempted for their welfare and I now venture, therefore, to offer, for the discussion, both matter and opportunity.
