"An amusing, relatable addition to a deservedly popular series."

The Wimpy Kid, aka Greg Heffley, is back!

When Greg finds himself placed into the Advanced Health unit at school, he soon finds himself having to deal with the new physical and social changes that come with being a teenager, including invitations to parties hosted by the cool kids at school, increased responsibilities at home, and having to have ‘the Talk’ with his grandmother.

Even worse, he can't rely on his best friend, Rowley Jefferson, to help him through, as Greg and Rowley had a falling-out. Can Greg get through these changes and repair his friendship with Rowley-

If your kids have read any of the other Wimpy Kid books, then they'll enjoy this, the fifth.

Just like in the previous books, there are lots of embarrassing situations in store for Greg, including a trip to the dentist that results in Greg having to wear headgear, a parenting exercise involving a missing egg, and having to deal with a lazy maid named Isabella.

And it's not just kids who'll enjoy this book, as parents will enjoy reading about Greg's Uncle Gary, who is getting engaged to his fourth girlfriend in this story.

Overall, this is another funny, relatable story about Greg Heffley that both kids and parents can get into, perfect for fans of the other Wimpy Kid books.

"Great book for kids." Purchased on Mighty Ape

The “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” books are all fantastic for getting young readers interested in reading. My daughter insists that I read each book after she finishes it, and I thoroughly enjoy them.

The series is all about life through the eyes of the somewhat egotistical (and idiotic) Greg Heffley as he tries in vain to increase his popularity in school and get the girl.

From the first page my son was drawn into the amazing story, and he has gone from not reading much to reading daily. A wonderful and funny read for all ages.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth is the 5th book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney. It is mainly about eighth grader Greg Heffley and when his best friend Rowley Jefferson's clash in friendships and whether or not they will stay friends. Also Greg goes to a ‘lock-in’ where he is in a group with George Fleer, Nicky Wood, Christopher Brownfeilds and Tyson Sanders when they are accused of taking a picture of someone's while playing ‘guess who’ butt but actually only took a picture of Tyson's elbow. It is a great book which is aged for 8 years+. The other books in the series are Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days.
