When the lover of a famous writer goes missing in a war ravaged country, he bribes his way into a jail to question her husband, a Missionary who is being tortured as a training exercise for a young trainee jailer. Alone in the cell the two start a dialogue about the nature of belief. Belief in God, love and politics.

Author Biography:

Thomas Alexander has had over a dozen plays produced on three continents, in countries ranging from Japan to the United States to Afghanistan, with his work translated into four different languages. Following several highly successful writing and directorial seasons in Tokyo, he was handpicked by the Afghan government and commissioned to write The Crossroads Country, which he directed to international acclaim. Experienced in all aspects of theatre from opera to children's performances. Having written over twenty plays and directed more than a ten, with his first novel due for publication in September 2014, Thomas Alexander is rapidly emerging as one of the literary scene's bright young talents.
