The Walking Dead Compendium: v. 1 reviews

I read this after watching the show. First off; the show has dramatically changed events and deaths while still sticking to the general story line. Some characters in the comic lasted much longer than their TV counterpart, while others died much quicker. A few characters even have completely different personalities. The comic is so very different, but yet still kind of the same to the show. Read it and you'll understand. It will literally blow your mind. This chunk of the comics wraps up the Prison Saga, so after you've read this, you'll be ahead of the show. This comic is a one of a kind, and I regret not reading it sooner. Far better than the show in ways I cannot describe. Just buy it. No regrets.

Great series! This huge slab of a book is a huge chunk of the comic series. It contains the whole “prison saga” which is my favorite part of the series. If you want to get into this great series I recommend getting the Compendium. Cant wait for #2.

…Then Of course you'll love this. I got into the TV show first, but reading this was great. Amazing story, can't wait for Compendium v 2!! I'll read this again too.

This series focuses not so much on the zombies, but on the interaction between humans in this situation. I found it to be the best entertainment I have got out of a book in a while. Eager for compendium #2

I purchased this after watching the series and was a little concerned it might spoil things for me. However as i progressed I was please to see that even with similar situations and people you still get a completely seperate story. Easily one of the best Comics I have come across and I cant wait for the next installement to arrive in the mail!

Couldn't put it down. It arrived very quickly and undamaged. Blew me away. I've watched every episode of the walking dead, I wish they had stuck to this story a bit more tho. Soooo much more brutal and so many twists and ghosts that keep you up at night. Highly recommended, especially if you want the original walking dead story but don't want to buy all the comics…

The show is one thing but the comics are alot better , action packed , and alot more realistic , no one is safe in the comics .

This series is fantastic, for fans of the show or not. The artwork is beautiful and the story so captivating that you can barely put it down! Definitely worth buying, especially from Mighty Ape who offers the best price, quick delivery and excellent product quality. A must buy!

Partner and I are currently both taking turns reading this. It's SOOO good. A definite staple for anyone who likes graphic novels or general zombie related media :)

Following this amazing series on tv I decided to purchase this compendium for my son. He's a huge fan of the show. On receipt of this I couldn't help but read it. One word..Fantastic! Its now gift wrapped & under the xmas tree. Will no doubt be purchasing the second compendium in the near future.

Just picked this book up and wow, wasnt expecting it to be as big as it is! It's a huge slab of book. Artwork inside is impressive, Looking forward to getting stuck into it.

After watching the show, I was interested in reading the comic version to see the difference. Best choice I made. With unique characters, an awesome atmosphere and moments that make you want to keep reading to find out the end result.
