"Very Moving"

This is a great movie that unwinds slowly keeping you glued throughout. An unusual cast with very different personalities and acting styles. The Spanish scenery is pretty special and the Spanish people doubly so, all in all one of the best movies I've seen for a while. I expect to watch this movie many times.

Beautiful movie, as informative as it is charming. Gorgeous scenery, and a story that shows there is redemption for all of us to be found in the unlikeliest places and people.

"A brilliant movie"

Just loved this movie, made me think seriously about walking the Camino myself. The cast delivered a first rate performance, it was very moving and inspiring. Even though it was just short of two hours' viewing it never seemed to labour, it was over too soon.

The Way

Tom (Martin Sheen), an American doctor visits St. Jean Pied de Port, France to collect the remains of his adult son (Emilio Estevez), killed in the Pyrenees in a storm while walking the Camino de Santiago, also known as The Way of Saint James. Rather than return home, Tom decides to embark on the historical pilgrimage to honour his son’s desire to finish the journey.
