I can understand why it won the David Gemmell award,the book is filled with wonderful characters ,a great plot with plenty of action. I am looking forward to the next instalment'

Well thought out, believable characters, excellent plot twists. One of the best scifi/fantasy book series I have read. Very easy to read. Stayed up all night to finish the 3rd book so I could start on the 4th.

Author Biography:

Brandon Sanderson was born in Nebraska in 1975. Since then he has written the Mistborn series, amongst others, become a New York Times bestselling author and been hailed as the natural successor to Robert Jordan; indeed he was appointed by Jordan's estate to complete Jordan's Wheel of Time series. He lives in Utah.
