A Midwestern high school is transported into the middle of an Alien forest. This is the story of what happens next. Every hundred years, the Black City has selected a remote population from Earth and transported them to the woods. These civilizations have not always lived in harmony...but now, they must either fight in unison to turn their weapons against the technology that brought them here in the first place, or meet total elimination in the face of Isaac's unworldly power. Author Biography

James Tynion IV is a comic book writer, best known for his work on the Batman franchise for DC Comics. James' comics career began with co-writing the back-up stories on Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's character defining run on BATMAN, which would lead to his making his own name on a number of Bat-Centric series. He served as writer on the massive cross-over project, BATMAN/TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, whose first issue was one of the best selling comic issues of 2015. He has received critical acclaim for his original works with Eryk Donovan, MEMETIC, COGNETIC, and the forthcoming EUGENIC, as well as commercial and critical success with YA sci-fi epic THE WOODS. Michael Dialynas is an Athens, Greece based artist who has illustrated the worlds of AMALA'S BLADE, SPERA, SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN and currently THE WOODS for Boom! Studios.
