Description

Wahab, a young man born in Montreal, decides to bury his deceased father in his native Lebanon. In Lebanon, along with a few friends, Wahab confronts a country scarred by war, where an additional corpse is one too many. The young Montrealer then embarks on an unexpected journey with a body that takes up too much space.

Author Biography:

WAJDI MAUAWAD has worked as an actor and director, and his original plays have become a central element in many theatres across Quebec. Mouawad was the winner of the Governor General’s Literary Award in 2000, and was named Artistic Director of the National Arts Centre French Theatre in 2007.
