You may know this New Plymouth rapper as the guy who had to flee New Zealand
on criminal
charges, or the one who fled to Australia from a bad break up before releasing
his PGT/GRR
album, but many know him as an influential prospect in the NZ hip hop scene who
continues
to captivate listeners, thus proving the conservative public wrong.
Louie Knuxx, real name Todd Williams is back with his third full length album
after crowd
funding for $5000, something he didn’t want to do but was astonished by the
support of the
community.
Knuxx calls this album his Magnus Opus and says it is a progressive romance
rap album
accompanied by the work of producers like Haz Beats (Team Dynamite, @peace,
HomeBrewCrew), Mzewento and many others.
‘Tiny Warm hearts’ features smooth cloudy samples and clean, deep
808’s that carry the
listener from track to track while Knuxx raps honest and captivating lyrics in
his usual
mellowed down, self-reflective way.
