Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 Complete Edition (Classic) previews

What I love about the Rainbow Six Vegas games is the realness of the game play. Unlike other FPS games were you can generally charge into a room and if you unload enough rounds you'll survive, in Rainbow Six Vegas you have to be careful because the bad guys can kill you just as easily as you can kill them.

Very easy controls to pick up, a little bit short but still had loads of fun playing it. Like most Tom Clancy games i found it very easy to get into, straight into the action, no long cinematics to slow you down, gameplay and levels reminded me a lot of the old James Bond games on the n64 but updated with new weapons and gadgets. All in all well worth the money.

This game is ssssoooooooo fun!! My friend brought it around and we played terrorist hunt ALL DAY!!! It is soo fun to play and it is very addictive! The thing that disappoints me is the campaign that it is too short. The awesome thing is that on realistic mode the CPU's always change. Thats so fun it keeps you of the edge of your couch!!!!! 4/5 GOOD

The rainbow six series is great and this just makes it a hole lot better! . The multi player side is good with a range of maps all with differences like night maps ,close combat and from a range combat.Single player also has a good story length and change able difficulty to make challenging for all.Over all a highly recommended game for all shooter fans.

A great game. a must buy for any fan of guns

Lets face it: You're not buying this game for its immersive story. You're buying it for its kick ass gameplay and split screen multi-player. This time the single player mode felt a little harder than the original, the experience points system makes things new and interesting and gives you something to aim for. The multi-player is definitely as fun as the first, especially terrorist hunt. One bad thing that i noticed is how your team seems more annoying than in the original (like when you're trying to run away from a grenade and they wont let you pass). BUT dont be afraid. A little patience and learning how to sidestep your own team and everything will be as good as the first Vegas. Everything else seems just as good though, and for $30 at the moment it's well worth getting, even if you just want something cool to play when you have a mate or two over. Customisation of your character is also quite cool, not too much, but enough to make your own tough guy. If you own the original already, or are craving something similar to it just different maps, then this is the game for you.

The game I'm most looking forward to of 2008!! I never was a shooter fan. Rainbow Six Vegas was the only game that interested me, it had a realistic setting with awesome environments, unpredictable AI, and an array of weapons. The rappeling and fast roping was so fun, there were so many tactical ways to approach battles, and the AI reacted different every time. It sure was a bit difficult sometimes, but it was a very excellent game, and I rate it higher than the dark, unrealistic Gears of War or the run-and-gun play of Halo. Rainbow Six won a lot of awards and it sure deserved it. But what about this sequal? Look at what you get with this awesome special edition!! METAL box packaging, very impressive. Exclusive weapons, a bonus DVD and the best thing…two postcards signed by the developers!! How awesome is that!! Well, you know they won't actually be signed, but printed off cos the developers wouldn't have time to sign thousands of postcards. I haven't gotten a game with such excellent bonuses before. (I only got the Halo 3 normal game, their bonuses didn't interest me.) And we all know about how games promise things and then it all fails, the game is rushed, or very glitchy…Vegas 2 is in the hands of excellent developers who have created an amazing FPS experience with the first Vegas, and it will certainly surpass expectations with all the effort they've put into it and they've had plenty of time for Vegas 2 anyway. To finish off, who wouldn't purchase this game?? Non shooter fans would at least have fun with co-op and the pretty graphics. This game will win plenty of game awards, and is up there with Star Wars: Force Unleashed and GTA, the top games of 2008.

Event though by estimated release date, we won't even be through one third of the year, I would be bold enough to say that this is my most eagerly anticipated game of 2008. The original Rainbow 6 Vegas was a superb shooter, offering multiple entry points for a different tactical assault every time, and a cover system that is better than most console FPS's released even today. If you haven't played the original Vegas, you are definately missing out! If this is like the original (hopefully better) its worth every penny and late night I will spend on it. It's only a shame that silly things like eating and working will get in the way of game time…
