Purchased on Mighty Ape

What can I say? I've played all Splinter Cell series and this is the best so far, nothing beats a game where covert action comes into it. Also at this fantastic price that the team at Mighty Ape brings us I would buy before its sold out!!

"A worthy addition with some flaws"

Splinter Cell Double agent is one of those games where it doesn't feel like a true sequel. Sure, it's a a step up from Chaos Theory with better graphics and more detailed environments, a host of new moves and the ability to make decisions that impact the story, which adds a less linear feel to it – But it just doesn't feel as polished as Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.

Chaos Theory was a gritty well-thought game with impressive single player and award winning multiplayer. It focused on action and shone through because of it. Double Agent is half and half. It tries to add an engaging consprirital feel to the story but it truly feels half hearted. Because the producers spent so much time on the story it feels like they forgot to add action into the levels. The environments could have been better detailed and thought out and there's a few missions which have you spend half an hour doing some mundane task for the enemy which detracts from the action.

Fair enough it has some high points and I genuinely believe they outweigh the negatives, but something doesn't click. Sure it's worth a buy and I definitely had fun playing it but it's just not quite the game I expected it to be.

Veteran agent Sam Fisher is back. But he’s never faced an enemy like this before. To stop a devastating terrorist attack, he must infiltrate a vicious terrorist group and destroy it from within. For the first time ever, experience the relentless tension and gut-wrenching dilemmas of life as a double agent. As you infiltrate a terrorist organization in its American headquarters, you must carefully weigh the consequences of your actions. Kill too many criminals and you’ll blow your cover. Hesitate too long and millions will die. Do whatever it takes to complete your mission, but get out alive.

Double Agent will completely revolutionise and reinvent the spy action genre by introducing the “double agent” concept, creating an entirely new breed of game play.

Double Agent is a collaborative development effort between Ubisoft’s award-winning development studios in Montreal, Shanghai and Annecy, France - and will take advantage of each platform with exclusive content and unique game play experiences.
