The show was a hit and Tom and Jerry's epic battles of cat vs mouse went on to tantalize audiences for decades.
The series was driven entirely by action and visual humor and the characters almost never spoke. Jerry always seemed to be able to foil Tom’s efforts to catch him which means he lived to annoy him another day!
