I've got the TP Link wifi light bulbs and an Amazon Echo as well as a few of these plugs now, and they integrate seamlessly. I have a plug on my bedroom heater and one on the bathroom heater. I can either turn them on via my phone and the Kaza app, or tell Alexa to do it. So my room and electric blanket are toasty warm when I go to bed, and I don't have to get up to a cold bathroom in the mornings.
The TP-Link Smart Plug and the Kasa app provides a very convenient method to start slow-cookers and kettles according a schedule.
Worked well until a spike in the power supply killed both units. WiFi no longer connected – game over :(
