Wifi is quite hard to measure. We have an n600 wifi router modem and a fairly small house (127m2). The router is in a small TV cabinet in the living room on one end of the house and we can't get wifi signal on WPA2 encryption in the master bedroom that is maybe 12m away on the other end on either our smart TV or our iPhones. But the signal has to pass through the cabinet, 3 wooden walls a room and a corridor. We've placed this extender in the corridor which is roughly in the middle; distance wise. We now have full wifi signal in the bedroom on all devices but the speed strength is a bit intermittent. Hard to say if that's our internet or if the repeater is “too far” away from the router to provide a solid signal. With the price match of $124. Definitely worth it though. With a more exposed router and repeater location I can see this device working well for larger houses. Pretty easy to set up for tech savvy people. I used the IP programming rather than cd install or quick wifi connect so can't comment if those work well
