Treason tells the story of Lanik Mueller who his exiled from his homeland at the hand of his own father, because he is a radical regenerative. He suffers from a deforming medical condition that results in him sprouting new body parts. He is sent on a mission to a far away land, and spared the usualy fate of radical regeneratives – having their spare body parts harvested and traded for hard metals. On his journeys Lanik discovers many different societies and learns of the remarkable talents they have developed, but not all want to use their talents for good. This thought provoking book is Orson Scott Card at his best.
