Description

Excerpt from Trophies From African Heathenism With nearly all of those whose cases are here narrated, it was my privilege to have more or less personal intercourse. In so far as the information thus obtained was defective, owing to my limited opportunities, as it could hardly fail to be, it has been supplemented by friends, clerical and lay, who were conversant with the facts. To all such I beg to tender my grateful acknowledgments. Though I had the pleasure of visiting the stations of various churches and societies, these visits were mostly of too casual a nature to permit of my be coming acquainted with particular cases, such as was vouchsafed to me in connection especially with the Missions of the Free Church of Scot land.
