"Troy - what we should've seen at the movies..."
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This Directors Cut version is well worth the money and turns a good film into a great film. Unlike some other ‘Director Cut’ film renditions, Troy really benefits from the extra 30 mins – valuable detail is added to the plot, tension is built between the main characters and there's a far more realistic feel to the battle and romance scenes. Watching Director Wolfgang Pettersen's commentary afterwards, I can understand why he was so passionate about getting this version out to audiences. It's just a shame the studios didn't let us see it back in 2004!

"Gritty Mythology at it's peak"

Well where to start. I remember going to the theaters with my friends not 4 years ago and watching this epic movie. However, 4 years on, the Directors Cut is an additional 30minutes to the already 150minute movie. whopping in at 3hrs 16mins! however, if your a Greek Mythology freak like me your sure to love it, Brad and Eric pull off a great performance.

Critic Reviews:

  • " Despite its shortcomings, Troy is a visual smorgasbord. " – Urban Cinefile Critics
