Description

The World Puppetry Festival is held every four years and nations bid for the right to hold the festival, the festival’s Artistic Director Philip Mitchell says he gave away 120 bottles of West Australian wine while gushing enthusiastically about the beauty of Perth. This scored the 20th festival for the city, held in April 2008.

This documentary is a surprising insight into puppetry performance and an in-depth look at the people who create the magic. In an effort to break a Guinness World Record, puppets and performers are brought from around the world to tell many unique stories. Puppetry, animation, illustration and performance are intertwined to create the stunning shows- some of them for adult eyes only!

Puppetry most certainly is an art form and the performances here will take your breath away.
