Description

Using simple techniques, Helen Birmingham shows you how to create fabulous jewellery that you will love making, and adore wearing! Her unique, eye-catching designs, coupled with her fantastic use of bright, jewel-like colours, makes this book a treasure trove of ideas and inspiration that you will want to plunge into again and again. There are twenty designs for necklaces, bracelets, earrings and hair decorations in this book, together with an alternative version of each one that can be made using the same method. All are based on simply rolling pieces of felt and binding them with beads, but they have an air of sophistication and style that makes them suitable to wear for any occasion.

Author Biography

Like so many beaders Stephanie Burnham's creative life started in another textile discipline. She took an Adult Education course entitled Art & Design in Embroidery and stayed on to take her City and Guilds in Embroidery. Stephanie was invited to teach at The Country Cross Stitcher and they are now in the 9th year of workshops for The Woburn School of Needlework. Here she teaches classes in both embroidery and beadwork from beginners to innovative and challenging techniques. Stephanie started beading quite unexpectedly whilst attending an Embroiderers Guild meeting in Letchworth and was hooked after about half an hour. Stephanie was thrilled to be chosen to teach as the Great British Bead Show held in Coventry.
