The mysterious and beautiful neighbour Michelle (Academy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow) and Sandra ( Vinessa Shaw, 3:10 to Yuma), the lovely and caring daughter of a businessman buying out the family's dry cleaning business.
As the exotic but equally troubled Michelle seems poised to fall for Leonard, and his family pressures him into committing to Sandra, Leonard is forced to make an impossible decision between the impetuousness of desire and the comfort of love - or risk falling back into the darkness that nearly killed him.
