Every Tyranid player needs to have one or three venomthropes on the tabletop so this kit is perfect in that it gives a whole brood straight away. Zoanthropes are awesome models too but on the battlefield they are kind of hit and miss with their psychic powers but surprisingly pretty good at tarpitting enemy troops because they are fearless and have a 3+ invulnerable save. In saying that I suggest if you get this kit you should make the venomthropes first, they put the old finecast venomthrope to shame and if you take three in your army list and don't put them in the same brood, disperse them across your deployment and give all those extra cover saves to everyone. I bought two kits from mighty ape as soon as they were released and made three zoanthroes and three venomthropes. The one problem I have with the kit is the price (games workshops rrp I mean). The Tyrant Guard/Hive Guard kit is also $90aud and you only get three models but at least they are bulky models. When I made my models from the venomthrope kit they were a little smaller and slimmer than I was expecting, and even though this is a double kit I dont think games workshop can justify nearly $100aud for this kit unlike they almost can with the Tyrranofex or maybe Hive Tyrant kit because those models are huge and kind of an army centerpiece. So thats why you should buy it from Mighty Ape, that discount is nice especially if your buying more than one of the same kit which I always do.
