"My sister just had to have it..."

Purchased on Mighty Ape

I had to purchase this for my sister who lives in Australia. She had been looking everywhere for a copy of this movie, but I told her not to worry, as I know where I can get it from… Sure enough, Mighty Ape had it in stock! It's a good movie (I've seen it a few times) and reminds you that some people do not have it very easy in this world.

I enjoyed the film itself depite the subject matter being disconcerting, and it was certainly a good follow on from Once were Warriors.

What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted

Temuera Morrison returns as Jake, The Muss in WHAT BECOMES OF THE BROKEN HEARTED?, the outstanding sequel to ONCE WERE WARRIORS. Five years have passed and Jake has turned his back on his family.

He's still up to his usual tricks in McClutchy's Bar, unaware, as he downs his latest opponent, that his eldest son, Nig, has died in a gang fight. The uncomfortable family reunion at nig's funeral sparks a confrontation with second son Sonny, and sets Jake and Sonny on a downward spiral. One is drawn deeper in to the violence of gang life, and the other begins a journey to open up to responsibility and change. But is it too late, has tragedy already struck.
