THE STIG is still an iconic figure for fans of the show, and one of the most popular features of the programme. Motorsport is the perfect crossover for him: fans of the programme are huge motorsport fans, and he has previously appeared prominently in the sport -- particularly when F1 driver Rubens Barrichello famously wore a t-shirt saying 'I BEAT THE STIG' at the German grand prix in front of an audience of millions.
