Pros: Quality construction, good tip, accuracy. Cons: cannot load much paint, dries quickly on bristles, always getting paint up in the ferrule when loading the brush, rubbish for mixing anything on the palette.
Undoubtedly a good brush, however i've not enjoyed using it all that much. Sure you get great control and accuracy, but I much prefer a standard length brush like my Raphael 8404.
Winsor & Newton: Brush Series 7 Sable Miniature #1
Winsor & Newton Series 7 Miniature brushes are made to the same superior quality as Series 7. The only difference is that the hair is comparatively short out of the ferrule, so that the brush point can be more accurately controlled during delicate work.
The miniature size of the brush head allows for a more angled ‘pen’-like position of holding, which is required when working on very small works.
