Known locally as Wolf 's Nick, it lies off the main Newcastle-Jedburgh road six miles southeast of the village of Otterburn.Evelyn was taken home and died early the next day from shock caused by severe burning. Before she died she told her mother and the police that she and her car had been set on fire by a stranger in a bowler hat.
