This book demonstrates how women's decisions direct their lives in both public and private spheres. It specifies critical conditions and possibilities for women who want to increase their opportunities. In this book the author proposes that specific attitudes and behaviours are effective in modifying or neutralizing inequality. Current patterns in women's behaviour and concerns are analyzed by applying the author's clinical sociological theory - identity empowerment. This theory is a paradigm that bridges microsociological and macrosociological concepts, showing how values influence women's behaviour.
