Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable reviews

This cable lets you connect your Xbox 360 to a computer monitor that has a VGA port.

If you cant afford a HD TV but have an awesome computer monitor, this cable comes in real handy. Moreover if you want true 1080p, you need a TV that has 2 million pixels, and these definitely don't come cheap. The other TV's that come in the $1000 – $4000 range usually have a 1080p sticker but if you look up the resolution, its going to be less than 1920×1080.

I've used this cable with a 19" Viewsonic VX 922 @ a resolution of 1280×1024 and on a DELL 2407 WFP @ 1920×1080. Games look awesome on both. If you can spend $700-$1000, get yourself a 1920×1080 monitor. If you cant, get yourself a good (recommend the best) 19–22 inch monitor.

If you guys are playing on your old BOX TV, you're definitely missing out on a lot of eye candy. Get yourself a decent computer monitor and get this cable.

The sad part is that its got only left and right channel outputs. So no surround sound. Sound quality is top class though.

Note: Its a VGA cable, so the digital signal is converted to an analogue signal which means that there is a slight difference in quality. If your not a person who can instantly pin point the difference in color/picture/image quality, you shouldn't be affected at all. Be sure to update your console to unlock all resolutions.

Have been using this for a year now and no problems so far. Hope Microsoft releases a DVI cable with full audio connectors.

Whilst looking for a way to channel my Xbox into a computer screen i came across many many different things; chunky boxes with different outputs, random cables with several dodgy looking plugs etc. When suddenly i came across this, a legitimate cable, that plugs my Xbox into my old 19 inch CRT Monitor. After it arrived i plugged it in and found out that my old monitor (that i got for $5 at a garage sale) could handle full HD. This cable freed me from my 640×480 TV prison and with Logitech 5.1 surround sound speakers, what could possibly go wrong.

Great if you have a large pc monitor, i have been using this cable for the last few months and it is excellent. It isn't that cheap but apparently the non Microsoft one are not very good, so it is worth the extra money.

Also with the latest dashboard update Microsoft have added support for 16:10 ratio resolutions, so it is a even better deal now if you have wide-screen monitor.

the vga cable is necessary for many raison, people who have a monitor, lcd monitor and no hdmi, will use the cable to enjoy high quality of graphic, it a genious thinking by xbox and all can use the xbox as they like, tv, flat screen or monitor, very importante cable.

I got one of these a long time and now have decided to review it. It truly is an excellent piece of equipment for the Xbox 360, I compared my PC montor to a 42" Plasma and it looks just as good as HD, if not better except not in Widescreen, of course you can also get widescreen PC monitors. 5/5, Recommended to anyone who doesn't have the money for an HD TV and wants a MUCH clearer picture than a standard definition televison.

..This is the Microsoft one. Cetainly worth the purchase, as with recent games you'll need a high def output to get the jaw dropping graphics that games now have.

I have this cable and the microsoft one, GET THE MS ONE.

I brought a brand new HD Monitor with the intention of hooking up my PS3 and 360 to it, of course I forgot my Xbox doesnt have an HDMI input.

This cable more than does the job, and games look that much more stunning on my monitor than my old TV. Luckily this cable also includes an adapter to merge the two separate sound channels into one plug.

Recommended if you dont have an HDMI-ready xbox.

When I first had my 360 I had it connected to my LCD monitor alongside my computer I constantly flicked back and forth between gaming and doing things online. If this is your intention then don't hesitate, it's an awesome cable and it works as directed. No problems, hassle free connectivity :D

I have been using this cable since I got my Xbox 360 a couple of years or so back and it's great!

I didn't need a TV for just using my Xbox 360 on, therefore having this cable gave me the option of buying a cheaper LCD PC monitor and using that as a screen.

Also with a later Xbox Live update, Microsoft added support for LCD monitor native resolutions, so your screen aspect ratio looks how it should – no stretching or scaling necessary!

A must have if you don't want to fork out on a Hi-Def LCD TV but don't want to compromise image quality.
