Had a little problem putting the device in the controller had to wiggle it a little as it didn't line up as well as expected. However the auto update and config to get it working was simple even an adult could do it :)

Great product, about time they released it easy to use feels comfortable connected to my elite controller barely notice it's there .
Making things work better.well done.
So much faster than using controller
So much easier to send messages now :) and $20 cheaper then else where
No issues with how it works, it just works like the previous chatpad on the 360.
My biggest issues is how it connects. It would not connect to one of my controllers no matter how I tried to connect it (wiggled it etc) – must be some sort of female pin on the controller that was slight askew. (brand new controller mind you).
I tried another controller, it connected but was way easy to disconnect it – I can see it easily getting knocked off. Both controllers are brand new – so it would appear an issue with the controller connectors, but why not make the chatpad more stable in its connection to cope with possible slight variations in components.
All controllers were genuine Microsoft controllers, so the Chatpad and controllers should have worked in any.
Interested to know if anyone else has the same issue.
The chatpad first snugly into the controller, holds firm with no risk of falling out and types well. In addition, it has stereo headset support (useful for older controllers that don't have it built in already) and comes with two function buttons that can be mapped to lots of otherwise indirect controls, such as recording and screenshots. Even works on PC too, which was surprising seeing as the older 360 chatpad didn't. Useful all round.
Easy to set up. Comfortable and straight forward to use.
Its good to use although small buttons as you'd expect with the room it fits into. Has the audio controls that you'd miss off the other headset attachments. The included headset isn't very good though. My mate told me it was quiet and nowhere near as good as the default headset from his end. Might have to use an alternative headset to what is included, anything that will fit in the 3.5mm audio port.
It's nice and lite compared to the Xbox 360 pad and it comes with a new headset. Lot more functions as well.
With the programmeable buttons and headset controls its 3 things in one.
