"Action, fun, variety, and a decent storyline."
5 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

I thought I would have a relaxing day off playing my new Yakuza 3 game – boy, was I wrong. In about 4 hours of game play I have: played golf, gone fishing, lost $50 gambling, fought numerous gang members, helped someone carry their icecreams (true), strolled the streets of Okinawa to name just a few things – I honestly feel exhausted. I was expecting a beat-em up Japnese style GTA game, but got so much more. It is not quite as free-roaming and interactive as GTA but certainly doesn't lack variety. Yakuza 3 has a highly enjoyable storyline with substories and missions aplenty making the game so much fun to play.

"Well worth the time and money"

Awesome game, complemented by good flow of story line. Apparently some things have been removed from the orignal Japanese edition but still well worth it. The game still offers plenty of mini games and extra quests. I didn't think I would but I got hooked on this one. Could do with better graphics though.

"Great Japanese RPG"
4 stars"

This game has kicked off really well in japan its had some hits and misses in west culture but still quite popular. great emotional storyline with over the top beat em' up moves is a great combination, with some really funny side quests and lots of mini games to enjoy. the game takes abit of time to get going into the more intence action part of the story which can get abit boring to start with but gets really fun afterwards. This game is a must to have in your collection (if your not to sure rent it first which is what i did to give you a taste of it) P.S. this game is in Japanese with English subtitles, dont be put off by it, its quite easy to read and understand

"Best Game For Me In Years."

I go through alot of games in a year and it's rare that any one game completely entertains me as I play it, there's always something be it a dodgy camera or cheap tactics used be the AI as a few examples.

Yakuza 3 while it has a few rough edges is a game that far surpassed my expectations of it, the sheer number of fun mini games aside the story is top notch and believable and the characters will worm their way into your hearts from the grizzled yakuza bosses to the group of children you help through their daily problems.

Don't be worried if you haven't finished the first two games and are afraid of missing out on the previous two plots, as all is well explained in the optional cut scene videos before the game kicks off.

A must have for anyone who has played the first two or anyone who is looking for alot of fun both serious and humorous on the streets of Tokyo.

"Very fun game with the Japanese culture a true highlight."

Yakuza 3 is a fun, extensive and entertaining game. The Japanese culture really shines through, in every aspect, beautifully. The graphics may be below this generations high expectations, and, at times, there may be too much dialogue and too many cut scenes to wade through for some people. However they can be skipped, and for those who like a story-driven game, this should not be an issue. There are so many things to do in this game; it will take up many, many (many!) hours of your time. If you like wacky Japan and Japanese culture, and love open-world style games (GTA for example), you will love Yakuza. If you like gaming at all you should love Yakuza! And at its modest pricing, you better buy it!

"Take your time."

So far from what i have found playing Yakuza 3, is an immersive world with fairly limitless options to explore, but at the same time being guided inside the world of yakuza by the storyline. fairly seamless integration regarding graphics with very well done collision and flow. Yakuza has an intense storyline which must be taken slowly as you can not miss the turns and therefore this is not a game that can be picked up and played for a short burst of entertainment, however when immersed in the game, its entertainment value is considerable.

"Great Game. Reccomend to all."

First things first to all of you who look at this title and think Grand Theft Auto rip-off then you are sorely mistaken. The 2 have absolutely nothing in common. Set in Japan, Yakuza 3 continues the legacy of Kazuma Kiryu this time with a whole new area to mosey around, good ol' Okinawa. It has a great story, great cast, and tonnes of bone crunching action. If you haven't played 1 or 2 it is OK. You may be in the dark about a few things but it is not a game killing thing. Anyway play it and see for yourself!
