I had to wait such a long time for this movie, as I was waiting for the dub version. Which was fantastic. But it was worth the wait, everything about this movie was faultless. Highly recommend.

Went to See it in Cinema. Loved it so much I got it on Blu Ray. Defiantly worth a watch!!
Wasn’t familiar with Makoto Shinkai , the young man responsible for bringing the film to the screen and into my life … til now . A Beautifully executed ( reality-based ) anime , with a truly satisfying story/plot & sympathetic characters too . He’s definitely going to be one to keep an eye on and hopefully collect projects of , now and into the future …
Mitsuha and Taki are two total strangers living completely different lives. But when Mitsuha makes a wish to leave her mountain town for the bustling city of Tokyo, they become connected in a bizarre way. She dreams she is a boy living in Tokyo while Taki dreams he is a girl from a rural town he's never been to.
What does their newfound connection mean? And how will it bring them together?
Reviews for Your Name
“It's both gorgeous enough and emotionally engaging enough to be worth seeking out.” – Bob Mondello – NPR
“Throughout, there is the nagging sense that the whole thing will unravel if any one thread gets tugged too hard, but when both the heart and the sky are on fire, why lean in and go squinting at flaws?” – Matthew Lickona – San Diego Reader
“The movie's spirit is by turns energetic and serene, impetuous and wise, its wild shifts from comedy to tragedy to romance revealing themselves not as tonal swings so much as variations in a larger cosmic pattern.” – Justin Chang – Los Angeles Times
